Impact
  • Participate in open‑channel hydraulic modeling to support hydraulic design, flood studies, dam breach and tailings dam‑breach studies.
  • Conduct site visits to collect and analyze field data for model calibration and validation.
  • Deliver civil engineering designs for culverts, conveyance structures, erosion controls, site grading, riverbank stabilization, flood protection works, and stormwater management systems.
  • Perform statistical analysis of climate and hydrology data and develop baseline hydrological studies, including instrumentation and field data collection.
  • Support tender preparation and assist with construction monitoring and contract administration for water resources infrastructure.
  • Prepare technical reports and proposals that influence project success.
Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Eligible for immediate registration as an EIT with APEGA.
  • Experience or interest in hydrological/hydraulic modeling and civil design for water infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with software such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, Global Mapper, ArcGIS Pro, PCSWMM, and related tools.
  • Ability to travel for occasional field assignments; Class 5 driver’s license required.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Lethbridge.

Compensation
  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $62,800 – $84,400
  • MB & ON: $57,300 – $80,000
  • Atlantic Provinces & QC: $56,700 – $76,400
