What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing water balance models and designing surface water impoundments
  • Proficient in statistical analysis of hydrological data and advising clients on mine water management
  • Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • More than 10 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm or at a mining/industrial worksite
  • Advanced degrees (M.Sc. or PhD) in civil or environmental engineering
  • P.Eng. registration or eligibility for immediate registration with APEGA
  • Familiarity with hydrologic modeling software such as GoldSim or HEC-RAS
  • Experience with mine closure and reclamation planning
