The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager Canada Warehouse the Warehouse Technician role supports day-to-day warehouse operations. This role performs duties related to shipping receiving inspecting storing issuing and delivering a variety of materials equipment and supplies including high-dollar heavy or critical items in support of TC Energy Operations. This position may be required to indirectly lead and influence stakeholders and peers.

What Youll Do
  • Assure and maintain data integrity in all warehouses related transactional work
  • Collaborate with other Supply Chain Operations and Maintenance groups to effectively manage and optimize the order fulfillment rate
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and controls including but not limited to safety health confidentiality and environmental policies
  • Conduct Cycle Counting and / or Physical Inventory Process per schedule and reports discrepancies to Warehouse Foreman
  • Count weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading invoices orders or other records
  • Determine method of shipment utilizing the companys third-party logistics providers
  • Examine incoming shipments for issues with quality count part number etc. and complete paperwork required for documentation
  • Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities with Material Handling Equipment. (i.e. Forklifts pallet jacks)
  • Perform transactions in the SAP inventory system to enter new quantities and to remove inventory from stock to ensure accurate system and documentation updates
  • Support the warehouse operations from inventory storage space utilization safety and compliance
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Five (5) years experience in Warehouse Management specifically relating to receiving / issuing / storage of materials.
  • High focus on safety and service
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (Forklifts)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary and / or a Supply Chain Management designation
  • Experience within the oil and gas and / or pipeline industry
  • Experienced in the SAP Supply Chain Management processes as it relates to issuing and receiving
  • Knowledge of materials management inventory controls and logistics
  • This position requires candidates to :
  • Have and maintain a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract (record) for review
