Shift: Tuesday to Saturday: 8:00am to 4:30pm PST

Pay Rate: $21.75

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Load and unload shipments in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Move product to storage areas with proper material handling equipment (pallet jack)
  • Ability to modify and rework orders to meet specific customer requirements
  • Efficiently store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Prior to product storage, count all product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage.
  • Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, storing, and load functions, as required.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, strapping and discard in proper containers or designated areas as required
  • Assist in delivery of furniture and appliance as required
  • Strict adherence to completion of all documentation according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) including; appliance and home furnishing installation, manifests, obtaining signatures, safe operations, etc.
  • At a Metro hub load product into the 5-ton for delivery in a manner that prevents damage to the product.
  • Adhere to Metro’s safe motor vehicle driving methods, as well as, strict adherence to all Provincial motor vehicle laws.
  • Maintain a clean delivery truck, perform daily pre/post shift safety inspections, and advise the Supervisor of any concerns or service recommendations.
  • Follow all SOPs regarding the safeguarding of Metro and its customers property against theft.
EXPERIENCE
  • At least 1-year warehouse experience
  • Completion of secondary school is preferred or equivalent experience
  • Must agree to a criminal background check

EDUCATION
  • Some High School, preferably a High School Diploma
