Job description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing, training and motivating hourly unionized employees in a world class logistics facility. The selected candidate will also be responsible for all operational goals and targets pertaining to safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and the environment. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring productivity and throughput for the operation. This position will have active involvement with the workforce to improve operations through continuous improvement activities. This candidate will also be responsible to lead health and safety programs at the Parts Distribution Center.

The Warehouse Supervisor Will
  • Manage a Union environment, reallocate and move employees around based on the shift volumes and productivity targets (PPH)
  • Supervise picking / packing / loading of orders as necessary
  • Supervise unloading / putting away stock as necessary
  • Monitor, investigate, and delegate trailers with CRC and FF to ensure timely unit-loading within compliance
  • Locate missed inventory for put away to maintain compliance
  • Ensure referral / dealer material is loaded / billed completely daily. Troubleshoot incomplete orders
  • Suspense:
    • 1st level review of suspense
    • Cycle count and audit locations
    • Troubleshoot lost / found material to locate errors
    • Maintain suspense within compliance
  • Claims:
    • 1st level approval of QC41 and QC42
    • Investigate, identify, and document errors for local dealers and referral dealers docked through other depots
    • Identify errors as quickly as possible and work with dealers to remedy
    • Billing adjustments as necessary
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance is maintained on XDocks
    • Proactively locate and delegate misdirected / delayed material
    • Locate / troubleshoot missing material
    • Ensure disconnected data is organized and communicated to receiving depots
    • Balance daily labor logs to reflect workforce
    • Setup weekly labor logs to allocate miscellaneous staff assignments
    • Daily report outs
    • Maintain automated system for warehouse reports
    • Weekly warehouse audits / control points
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 18 months of supervisory experience
  • Must be willing to work any shift
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Google Suite experience
  • Availability to work overtime on weekdays or weekends
  • Comfortable working on a fast-paced environment
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Excellent team building and facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication skills -- both verbal and written
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Experience in unionized environment and contract negotiations
