Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate, you will participate in an 18-month trainee program. Your training will focus on learning basic warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, and housekeeping of assigned areas. You will comply with operational, audit, safety, and all other company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete safety orientation and follow safety policies.
  • Shadow experienced associates in inbound verification, returns, and entering receipts.
  • Learn to place received materials in proper storage locations.
  • Practice logging overages, shortages, damages, or non-compliant materials.
  • Train in manual or RF systems for picking, packing, weighing, and shipping.
  • Assist in packing, labeling, wrapping, and loading trucks.
  • Use local delivery records and complete pick tickets.
  • Verify return policies before issuing credits.
  • Pull stock and handle returns or credit memos.
  • Learn wire cutting and spooling.
  • Maintain counter stock and assist with customer service.
  • Progress to operating forklifts and pallet jacks with experience.

Working Environment

The role is in a warehouse environment, generally well-ventilated and lit, with exposure to weather conditions and the need for protective clothing. Heavy equipment operation and safety regulations are involved.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
  • Use of hand tools.
