Volunteer Job Summary

As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating and editing videos that effectively communicate our brand message and enhance our marketing efforts. You will work closely with our creative team to bring our vision to life through compelling visuals, seamless editing, and attention to detail. Your creativity, technical expertise, and proficiency in video editing software will contribute to the success of our video projects.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audience.
  • Edit raw footage into polished videos that align with our brand guidelines and project objectives.
  • Trim, rearrange, and enhance video clips to optimize visual impact and storytelling.
  • Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and animations to enhance video content.
  • Ensure all videos are produced in a timely manner, meeting project deadlines.
  • Review and provide feedback on scripts, storyboards, and shot lists.
  • Continuously stay updated on industry trends, video editing techniques, and software advancements.
  • Maintain organized file management systems for video assets and project files.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand video performance metrics and optimize videos for engagement.
  • Take initiative in proposing new creative ideas and concepts to improve video content and production processes.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of video editing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from creative leads.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and suggest innovative ideas.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, visual effects, and color grading is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively articulate creative concepts and collaborate with team members.
  • Portfolio of previous video editing work demonstrating technical skills and creativity.
