Vice Principal Pool - Middle

Adjacent to Victoria on southern Vancouver Island, Sooke School District is the fastest growing school district on Vancouver Island and one of the fastest growing districts in British Columbia. SD62 serves five municipalities: Langford, Colwood, Metchosin, Sooke and the Highlands. Some of our schools are located on the traditional territory of the MÁLEXEŁ (Malahat) Nation, the Ləkʷəŋən peoples of Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. And Have The Required Education And Experience Noted Below
  • Completion or near completion of a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related area
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • Valid BC teaching certificate
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent and exemplary teaching experience preferably in grades 6 to 8 demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and characteristics of students at the elementary level
  • Experience leading programs and initiatives at the school and/or the district level
  • Experience in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Experience incorporating Indigenous education into learning activities for all students
  • Experience leading and teaching in a unionized public‑school setting using the BC curriculum preferred

The salary range for this full-time position is $134,607 to $142,017 per annum. Initial placement within the range is based on related education and experience. Sooke School District offers a competitive benefits package and pension plan.
