Purpose:

As a member of the National Accounts team, the Vice President will primarily provide a high level client service function to a select list of head office dealer clients.

What you will be doing:

A secondary function of the role is to cultivate, obtain and provide client service to Managed Asset opportunities within dealer third party programs, platforms and products.

  • Studies the investment product and managed asset landscapes to identify distribution opportunities within a specified and dedicated subset of Investment Dealers (“Focus Firms”);
  • Initiates regular contact and service at the Head Office level of Focus Firms in order to enhance firm recognition and product positioning at various levels (recommended lists, models, programs, platforms and products);
  • Develops a “go forward strategy” when interest is expressed by investment product analysts and other influential Focus Firm personnel;
  • Maintains ongoing communication with key Head Office personnel of Focus Firms with the purpose of emphasizing news/changes within Dynamic product lines;
  • Obtains necessary approvals for new products within the dealerships to be available to advisors; (i.e. “shelf space”);
  • Negotiates Dynamic’s involvement in dealer-sponsored conferences, to minimize cost, to maximize brand exposure and to cultivate advisor leads for follow up;
  • Manages escalating issues/problems that arise from time to time and resolves them, in an effort to further improve relationships
  • Coordinates the completion of responses to requests for information (“RFIs”) and requests for proposal (“RFPs”), and facilitates corporate and product due diligence meetings as appropriate;
  • Provides regular and timely product reporting and updates as required by National Account clients

Education/Designations/Experience

  • University Degree (Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance)
  • Completion of industry recognized professional designations (CIM, CFA, CIPM, CFP, CAIA etc).
  • Ten or more years of experience in the asset management industry, with the majority of this time in the National Account, Managed Asset or high net worth market segments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial markets, investments and the needs of National Account / Managed Asset investors.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, problem solving and resource management skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong time management skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, able to work well under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Very comfortable with technology with an above average proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).
  • A self-starter who is equally comfortable working with cross-departmental and external partners
