Vice President, Aftermarket & Services - Winnipeg, Manitoba

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Vice President, Aftermarket & Services role reports directly to the President of the CEL Group of Companies.

The role is accountable for growth, productivity, and effectiveness of Conviron’s Service, Installations, and Project Management departments. The role will work closely with other members of the senior leadership team and foster close working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that clients are growing confidently.

In particular, the role will be accountable for growth strategy and execution for the department, extending existing service support offerings to better serve our clients’ needs. Intentional growth of supporting systems, processes, and resources will be required to manage the ability to serve and scale the company’s service offering.

  • Manage Service, Installation, and Project Management operations for the Conviron business
  • Ensure service offering fits with the client needs in terms of features and price
  • Participate in and contribute to plans to market and sell the service offering, including marketing collateral, sales strategies, training, and tools
  • Direct the expansion of Conviron’s subcontractor network to support Service delivery, including negotiating contracts and commercial arrangements
  • Consult on and recommend developments to control systems and technology platform, to ensure features and roadmaps that are consistent with client needs
  • Support and engage with Installations and Project Management team to ensure successful client project outcomes: on-spec, on-time, on-budget
  • Deploy a data-driven operating and management style; Improve the department’s ability to collect and regularly report on important metrics and adjust as necessary

SCORECARD GOALS FOR THIS ROLE

  • Growth – develop and lead the strategy and execution of a scalable service offering to drive growth over the next 3 years;
  • Ensure efficiency of scalability of related resources, systems, and processes to support growth;
  • Engage with day-to-day department operations to ensure quality, effectiveness, and the best possible client outcomes;
  • Support Installations and Project Management team to ensure successful client project outcomes: on-spec, on-time, on-budget.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or relevant field; advanced degree a strong plus;
  • 5+ years of experience leading a service business unit with comprehensive support offerings. Experience with development and launch of a new service strategy to drive growth a strong plus;
  • Demonstrated execution of client-centric service offerings, meeting client needs;
  • Excellent team leader who can inspire and guide a technically knowledgeable team, ensuring efficiency, engagement, and client-focused service culture;
  • Strong financial understanding, with experience reading P&Ls and managing budgets, track record of driving key performance metrics.
  • Experience setting up commercial systems and processes to deliver outstanding customer service, including supporting digital technology.
  • Experience developing, fostering, and managing positive relationships with clients;
  • Excellent communications and ability to build relationships and impact at all levels of the business;
  • Operates with a sense of accountability and urgency and inspires same in a team to drive results and achieve goals.
