Job summary

A veterinary service provider is seeking a full-time Client Care Representative in Lake Country, BC. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment for clients and pets, manage appointments and correspondence, and support the veterinary team. Veterinary Reception, Client Care Location: Lake Country, BC (north of Kelowna)

Tri Lake Animal Hospital and Referral Centre is currently welcoming a full-time customer service-focused Client Care Representative to join our team. This great opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated! Additional responsibilities and qualities for this role are:

Responsibilities
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
  • Ability to answer a multi-line phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
  • Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
  • Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and explaining fees, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas, including the removal of animal waste
  • Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Schedule

Features 10hr shifts, based on current team preferences. Shifts rotate through mornings and evenings, with shared weekend shifts. Opportunities for permanent evenings are always available, should a night owl with a preference for these shifts present themselves. Otherwise, the sharing of evening and weekend shifts helps to maintain a healthy work-life balance for ALL!

Compensation

Starting at $18.00 per hour, and up based on relevant experience.
