Veterinarian, DVM Emergency & GP Hybrid Maternity Leave Contract (6 Months, With Potential Extension)

Location: Lake Country, BC

Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre is welcoming a Veterinarian for a 6-month maternity leave contract, with the potential to extend depending on business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to experience a dynamic hybrid caseload in a well-established, multidisciplinary hospital—whether you are exploring the Okanagan lifestyle or considering a longer-term role.

For over 40 years, we’ve proudly served the Okanagan Valley and beyond. Our hospital supports expanding specialty services including surgery, rehabilitation & pain management, internal medicine, and behaviour, alongside a bustling general practice and a growing emergency service.

Our 16,500 sq. ft., purpose-built facility includes eight exam rooms, four ORs, Sound SmartDR+CsI hands-free radiology system with trained staff, portable ultrasound for FAST scans, 64-slice CT scanner, and a fully equipped in-house lab.

Schedule: We’re flexible with 24–40 hours per week. Our main need is daytime support on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (additional days available). Typical shifts run 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, but we’re happy to consider shorter shifts if you’re looking for part‑time hours. This position is primarily hospitalist-based, focusing on inpatient care and the intake of incoming emergencies.

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs. The annual salary range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
