You will be a member of the above group, which is responsible for:

Our team manages power system telecom services (PSTS) data for Hydro One Networks and Acronym Solutions. We capture telecommunications engineering designs in various operations support systems (OSS) to support operating and planning functions across the organization. We are looking for an enthusiastic, bright individual to assist us.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior staff with operations support systems (OSS) updates

  • Conduct research and analysis of engineering design documents and systems of record

  • Generate regular status reports and other reports as required

  • Prepare training documentation

Professional development
  • Power system telecom services knowledge

  • Basic transmission system protection and control knowledge

  • Experience with operations support systems (OSS)

  • Experience with engineering design documents

Selection Criteria
  • Discipline: Telecom or power system engineering, Telecommunication Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Computer Science

  • Basic understanding of protection and control principles

  • Basic understanding of networking and telecom systems and services

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Self-starter with exceptional communication skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
