Job summary

A leading mining contractor in Canada seeks an experienced electrician to install, wire, and maintain electric equipment in both surface and underground locations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in underground mining, along with a valid Electrical trades certificate and membership in the Ontario College of Trades. Responsibilities include troubleshooting ventilation fans and high voltage systems. This role offers a 7 on, 7 off rotation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Electrical trades certificate of competence.
• Should be a registered and active member of Ontario College of Trades.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in underground mining.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair ventilation fans.
• Repair lighting and electric/hydraulic equipment.
• Assist in repairs and maintenance to all underground sub-station.

Skills

Electrical trades certificate of competence for Industrial or Construction and Maintenance

Registered and active member with the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an underground mining environment

Planning, installation of low, medium, and high voltage installation and repairs
