Job summary

A forward-thinking mining company is seeking a Mine Planning Engineer for its McIlvenna Bay project in Saskatchewan. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in underground hard rock mining.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P Eng) in a Canadian province and in good standing.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic mining environment and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver weekly mining schedules to achieve budget.
  • Optimize stope designs to maximize recovery.
  • Create and maintain medium term schedules for production targets.
  • Review and approve engineering work such as forecasts and schedules.
  • Prepare trade off studies for Mine Operations decisions.
  • Maintain underground services plans.
  • Support QAQC for mining activities.
  • Lead mining reconciliation and maintain stope program.
  • Produce weekly and monthly production reports.
