A transportation services company based in Peel Region, Mississauga is seeking a full-time Mechanic. Responsibilities include adjusting, repairing, and maintaining commercial transport truck and truck-trailer systems. Candidates must have a High School diploma and be a Registered Apprentice or hold an Ontario Certificate of Qualification (310T). The role offers a competitive salary of $36 per hour for 30 hours/week in a permanent capacity.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect, repair and maintain electrical and electronic systems.
• Inspect, repair and maintain engines including fuel and emission controls.
• Inspect, repair and maintain transmissions, clutches, drive shafts and axles.
• Inspect, repair and maintain body and trim, frames and hitching systems.
• Inspect, repair and maintain steering, suspension and computer control systems.
• Inspect, repair and maintain tires, wheels and hubs.
• Inspect, repair and maintain braking systems including air supply and hydraulic.

• Inspect, repair and maintain following components
  • Electrical and electronic systems
  • Engines including fuel, exhaust, intake and emission controls
  • Transmissions, clutches, drive shafts and axles
  • Body and trim, frames and hitching/coupling systems
  • Steering, suspension and computer control systems
  • Tires, wheels and hubs
  • Braking systems including air supply and hydraulic, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems

Education: High School

Experience: Registered Apprentice or completed Ontario Certificate of Qualification (310T)

Salary: $36 per hour for 30 hours/week
