Job summary

A leading transportation company in New Brunswick seeks Company Drivers for full-time positions. Applicants must have a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate and a Class 1 or A driver's license. Responsibilities include loading and unloading goods, transporting dangerous materials, and maintaining accurate records. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of tractor trailer experience and a safe driving record. The role may involve cross-border travel and overnight trips.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is mandatory.
  • At least 1 year of tractor trailer experience is preferred.
  • Must have a clean Criminal Record Check.
  • Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
  • Proven record of safe driving is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload goods.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
  • Record cargo information, hours, distance, and fuel consumption.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips.
  • Operate GPS and navigation equipment.

Sunbury Transport Limited is a leading carrier service utilizing the most advanced technology to deliver world class transportation service. We offer a wide range of creative transportation solutions; specializing in bulk, flatbed, van and food grade products.

Our company’s primary site is in Saint John, 485 McAllister Dr. with other work locations throughout Eastern Canada. These are permanent, full time roles for Company Drivers in our Chip, Shorthaul Container, and Flatbed divisions.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Operate GPS and Navigation equipment and trip recorder

For some routes must be willing and able to cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel overnight, valid driver's license is required.
