We are currently in search of, compassionate, energetic, team oriented, and self‑motivated individuals to take on Treatment Counselor positions on a per diem capacity. We participate in a Trauma Informed Integrated Care approach in order to create best possible outcomes for our youth.

About Us:

McKinley is a non‑profit organization serving our communities with education, social services, and counseling. We offer educational services in our non‑public school where we work with local school districts to educate students with learning disabilities. A typical day includes:
  • Promoting and assisting youth with self‑help skills in the areas of nutrition, hygiene, and problem solving.
  • Willing to work a minimum of 10 hours a week
  • Modeling and supporting positive youth development and positive behavioral self‑management through praise, mentoring, and attention.
  • Facilitating psychoeducational groups on campus and out in the community.
The ideal candidate for this role will posses JUST ONE of the following:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or Child Development Teaching Permit; or
  • Completion of 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education; or
  • Previously been employed or volunteered at a group home or STRTP for at least one year; or
  • Valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor or Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; or
  • Have relevant experience as determined by CDSS to meet any of the above requirements.
