Job summary

A multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Technician/Technologist in Regina or Saskatoon. This role involves contractor supervision, GPS surveys, and material testing. Applicants should have a diploma in civil engineering and strong computer skills. Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Saskatchewan Heavy Construction or transportation engineering is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
• Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Providing contractor and construction supervision and contract interpretation.
• Performing RTK GPS surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
• Conducting field and lab material testing with emphasis on accuracy and timely submission of results.

Skills

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Excellent time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead and manage small teams

Education

Diploma in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary college
