Job Title: Transmission Work Program Manager

This position is a Transmission Work Program Manager within the Transmission Provincial Portfolio. The Program Manager will be responsible for delivering one or more programs or portions of programs. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as multiple deliverables and support groups must be coordinated to successfully deliver the required scope of work.

What you will be doing
  • Manage external contractors and consultants to deliver work packages safely, on time, and within the allocated budget.
  • Lead the Annual Work Planning Meetings.
  • Define and implement capital and maintenance programs within established budget, scope, and schedule, while meeting quality, scope, and safety objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize efficiency and program delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes and procedures related to delivering work across multiple programs.
  • Work with Integrated Planning teams to prioritize, estimate, and schedule work.
  • Collaborate with delivery partners across Engineering, Field Operations, Construction Services, Interconnections, Procurement, Environment, Indigenous Relations, and Safety to deliver programs on time and on budget.
  • Monitor program progress and implement change control as necessary.
  • Provide monthly progress reporting within PCM and to all stakeholders.
  • Approve procurement commitments and payments within assigned programs.
  • Seek new and innovative technologies, processes, and products that will enhance delivery of current and future work.
What you must have
  • Intermediate technical knowledge in a specific field (e.g., Engineering, Technical Trades, Business, Finance, or Sciences), with general knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Post-secondary education with a degree in a relevant field; a combination of education and related experience may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of program/project management, delivery models, contracting strategies, and construction process flows.
  • PMI certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Strong program/project management skills, relationship building, facilitation, and management abilities, including working effectively in an unstructured environment.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary program teams and oversee external contractors.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in existing processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including asset managers, engineers, contractors, Indigenous relations, safety, environmental teams, properties, and field crews—critical to success in this role.
  • Exceptional Excel and programming capabilities to track requirements, share information, and report on high-volume program progress across stakeholders.

Salary/Rate Range: $57.00 - $70.00 per hour

Term: 12-month contract; most likely to extend
