A leading global provider of nutritional solutions for livestock is seeking a Territory Manager in Western Canada, focusing on ruminants. TERRITORY MANAGER - WESTERN CANADA (RUMINANT)
Our client is a global leader in high-performance non-medicated nutritional solutions for production livestock. They develop, manufacture and market species-specific products in over 80 countries and have established offices worldwide and offer a robust product pipeline. They focus and invest in innovation and development as they strive to supply the industry as it reduces or eliminates the use of antibiotics in food production systems. They have a solid commitment to share innovative technologies and solutions based on scientific research and stringent testing methods.
As they experience continued growth in the marketplace, and with constant attention to recruiting the best talent to join their diverse and dynamic team, they currently seek a highly effective Territory Manager to focus on ruminant species (dairy, beef and small ruminant) throughout the industry in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is an established territory with an existing customer base.
In this key, high-profile role, you will report to the Canadian Director and establish, foster and grow key relationships with strategic customers, while maintaining and growing sales of products within the territory. As the sector expert, you will provide technical support to your customer base while developing strategies that support the growth and development of those customers. You will support and assist colleagues as a key team member, develop and implement an annual territory strategic plan, and meet and exceed budgeted sales and volume goals.
Our client offers an attractive compensation package consisting of base salary ranging $90,000-100,000 DOE, incentive opportunity, benefits, vehicle plan, tools of the trade, and extensive training/personal development opportunities, including those on an international level.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?
Your qualifications will include technical and production knowledge of the global, Canadian and local dairy, beef and small ruminant industries, 5-10 years experience in feed/ruminant nutrition sales, above average communication and presentation skills, the ability to work independently while being an active member of a dynamic team, strong sales and customer-relations skills, and post-secondary education in animal science, agribusiness or a related B.Sc. You bring strong and trusted relationship or the proven ability to build relationships with customer and prospect feed nutritionists and sales teams. Your location is ideally in central/southern Alberta, or in the Vancouver/Abbotsford BC region. Travel is required throughout BC, AB and SK, with an anticipated 40% travel requirement.
