Job description

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company is seeking a Temporary Full-time Production Coordinator for a 12-14 month contract. Reporting to the Team Leader Production Planning, the Scheduler, Grease & Additive is a key member of the Production Planning department in Global Supply Chain. This position is responsible for scheduling the grease plant packaging based on inventory requirements and actual orders to meet customers' needs and for managing all bulk and packaged additive inventory levels in the plant to ensure there is enough additive to keep the plant running while minimizing working capital.

Job Duties
  • Orders and coordinates the inbound of over 250 different types of additives for the entire manufacturing facility for grease and lubricant blending
  • Determines the best format to receive additives (pails, drums, totes, trucks, or railcars) based on demand and tank size/constraints
  • Manages the inventory of all grease packaging components (>175 different components) to ensure the grease plant does not run out of components while minimizing working capital
  • Coordinates artwork changes of tubes and pails with Marketing and Production teams while minimizing working capital
  • Schedules the grease plant production to meet packaging and bulk customer demands OTIF while minimizing working capital and factoring facility constraints
  • Working with procurement to confirm if delays on additive arrivals will impact production
  • Managing the disposal, return or recertifications of expired additives
  • Coordinates and tracks bulk additive and purchased basestock offloads with carriers, blending, and the transportation team (trucks and railcars)
  • Tracks and manages grease bin demands sent from Eastern and Western Canada
  • Plans for grease plant seasonal changeovers and shutdowns
  • Processes the invoicing receipts for inbound additives via railcar and packaged additives to 3rd party external warehouse
  • Key influence on expense tracking and working capital
  • Supports Inventory Analysts for investigations into inventory discrepancies in additives and grease packaging
Experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience in scheduling accountabilities in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience in utilization of MRP scheduling tools is a definite asset
  • Knowledge of lubricants and/or manufacturing processes is an asset
  • Post-secondary education required
  • University degree in Business or Accounting is preferred
