Job Summary

Perform basic installation tasks for audiovisual projects including pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  • Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with other AV system related tasks.
  • Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Abilities
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues.
  • Use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work and think independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshooting.
Education and/or Experience
  • Formal education in electronics or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets AVI‑SPL Driving Privileges standards.
Working Environment

The role operates in a professional office environment and may occasionally require travel to client sites.

Physical Requirements
  • Lift or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Climb ladders up to 20 feet tall.
  • Work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces.
  • Frequent talking, hearing, speaking, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
