Job Summary
Perform basic installation tasks for audiovisual projects including pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with other AV system related tasks.
- Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
- Other duties assigned as needed.

- Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues.
- Use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work and think independently while meeting deadlines.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshooting.
Education and/or Experience
- Formal education in electronics or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets AVI‑SPL Driving Privileges standards.
Working Environment
The role operates in a professional office environment and may occasionally require travel to client sites.
Physical Requirements
- Lift or move up to 60 pounds.
- Climb ladders up to 20 feet tall.
- Work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces.
- Frequent talking, hearing, speaking, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
