Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Technician SEA DOO to join our engineering team. Reporting to the Project Manager, Vehicle Engineering, you will have a major impact on the design, development and validation of various mechanical systems for recreational vehicles.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
  • Produce 2D technical drawings and 3D models required for the manufacture of mechanical components.

  • Participate in component development and monitor prototype manufacturing.

  • Collaborate in the problem-solving process with team designers and engineers.

  • Use internal systems to track and optimize project progress.

  • Keep material list and progress report up to date and follow up with the management team.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
  • DEC in mechanical engineering or relevant design experience;

  • A keen sense of mechanics and good 3D visualization skills;

  • Knowledge of design software such as Catia V5 or SolidWorks;

  • Good communication skills in French and English (written and spoken). English is required as the person will have to read technical and regulatory documentation not available in French, as well as communicate with international suppliers.

  • Knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerance standards (GD&T);

  • Curiosity and ingenuity to find creative solutions to problems.
