Overview

Technical Sales Representative - Mineral Processing (Flotation) at Syensqo. We’re a science-driven company focused on advanced materials and specialty chemicals for mining and related industries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical sales support to grow Mineral Processing sales in the Canada region.
  • Actively participate in the construction and implementation of the sales account strategy.
  • Plan and execute laboratory test work and plant trials; obtain, analyze and complete reports in a timely manner.
  • Present technical results and provide support to customers while establishing sustainable relationships through multi-level contacts.
  • Coordinate with regional / global Mineral Processing sales teams to exploit sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions regarding product applications and performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to address customer needs, resolve issues, and drive New Product Introduction commercialization.
  • Monitor market intelligence to support sales, business development, and marketing strategy.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with global and regional technical services support teams.
  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed in all circumstances.
  • Communicate via visit reports, monthly highlights, or trial proposals / reports in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses.
  • Comply with company policies (code of conduct, anti-bribery, anti-trust, travel guidelines, etc.).
You will bring
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemistry.
  • At least 5 years of relevant technical experience in the mineral processing domain.
  • Experience executing flotation test work and plant trials.
  • Hands-on lab skills to conduct lab testing.
  • Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen with a focus on value selling.
  • Ability to build excellent customer relationships and promote Syensqo products.
  • Team player with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Self-starter with a hunter mindset.
  • Comfortable working from a home-office environment and remotely.
  • Willing to travel or be on customer site at least 50% of the time.
