A leading software company in Canada is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to deliver high-impact software solutions. You will oversee all aspects of project life cycles, ensuring client requirements are met efficiently. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in the Event-Tech industry and possess strong skills in project and client management. Plan, organize, evaluate, implement and deliver the activities related to the vFairs software systems including the website and the mobile application. Analyze, design and enhance processes to improve the software systems’ adaptability, usability and growth.
Job duties:
Work with the clients on managing their software requirements while working with the design and engineering teams to ensure the website, mobile application etc and all softwares the client is using are customized and built as per their needs within the agreed timeline and budget.
Work on improving the internal processes via various automation workflows that help the project, product and engineering teams stay efficient.
Work closely with the product and engineering teams on identifying shortcomings in the software systems
Conduct quality checks and audits to identify gaps and weak areas and design features and improvements to overcome them.
Plan, organize, control and evaluate the operations of software systems in the company
Develop and implement policies and procedures for better operations and workflows within cross functional teams
Conduct and lead client meetings to discuss software project requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Manage a portfolio of projects at any given point of time and plan project delivery schedules
Take lead on the full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full-service delivery from handover from pre-sales to post-project closure calls
Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Robust Reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
Employ project management practices and engineering processes to ensure the team can deliver high-quality results to each client to compel them for renewals
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned time frames
Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
Understand inter-dependencies between technology, operations and business needs
Ensure technical accuracy, scalability and quality of projects through collaboration on with development teams
Conduct post-project completion calls to collect candid feedback from customers
Recruit and supervise engineers, coordinators, project managers and other personnel and oversee their professional development and training while mentoring and motivating them
Bachelors in Computer Science & demonstrable education / knowledge of Project & Product Management
Minimum experience of 5 years specifically in the Event-Tech Industry
Certifications and demonstrable skills in project management, client relationship management, conflict and risk management, data analytics/business analytics, data visualization techniques, product management, prototyping, workflow automations, etc.
Well versed with tools and languages like Jira, Slack, MS Excel for data analysis, Tableau, PowerBI, MS Project, SQL, JQL, Figma, GitHub
Understanding of AI concepts and tools such as prompt engineering, generative AI, AI Automations with make.com, n8n etc.
