This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with key stakeholders in mining operations and delivering customized electrical solutions that meet their evolving needs. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow business within mining operations across a defined territory.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with mining companies, contractors, engineers, and procurement teams.
  • Promote and sell a range of electrical products, systems, and solutions (e.g., power distribution, motor control, cable systems, lighting, automation, switchgear).
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge during pre- and post-sales cycles.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to client specifications.
  • Maintain strong, long-term client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, operations, and inside sales to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, safety standards, and competitors in the mining and electrical space.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in industrial or electrical sectors.
  • Technical background or education in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling into mining or heavy industrial environments is a major asset.
  • Strong understanding of electrical products and applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory, including to remote mining locations.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.
