As a Team Lead, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots, and gatehouses, etc. If you have prior team lead experience, and enjoy working night shifts, then this is the job for you!

Responsibilities for Team Lead

• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Leading the Security Guard team, post and duty rotations and ensure all posts are covered.
• Ensure Security Guard team rotates through breaks and lunches. (Post/Break/ Schedule lunch schedule)
• Orientation/ training new Security Guards
• Conduct 1 weekly Security Audit of their Team. (includes Seal test, Alarm Response, Coat and Parcel and ID Screening check)
• Pape Audit- Audit Security related tasks. (Monthly)
• SG Coaching - 1st initial discussion. Conversations concerning lateness, uniform issues, errors at post and minor peer conflicts. (If the talk is unsuccessful, the issue will be escalated to DCLP and Garda Operations Manager) (The most successful team holds themselves accountable.)
• Control Room and Gatehouse cleanliness.
• Security Supplies and Seal inventory.
• Thermal Camera set-up daily.

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Ontario security license
• WSIB approved First Aid and CPR Level C
• Must have prior Team lead or Supervisor experience
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughoutshift
