Job Summary

As a Team Lead, Inside Sales on the Growth Team, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving strategic growth and pipeline development. You will oversee a high-performing team of Business Development Managers and work closely with sector leaders, sales executives, and functional teams.

Responsibilities


  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) in executing strategic outreach campaigns.

  • Set and monitor KPIs to ensure team performance aligns with Growth Team objectives.

  • Provide regular coaching, training, and development opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, initiative, and accountability.

  • Partner with the Director of Business Strategy & Analytics to shape and evolve the business development strategy, including segmentation, targeting, and outreach tactics.

  • Align campaign strategies with Sales Directors and VPs.

  • Oversee the development and iteration of call/email scripts and outreach content.

  • Own the team's CRM best practices.Lead the reporting process for all business development metrics.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client news to proactively inform team strategies.

  • Lead research initiatives on emerging sectors

  • Support attendance and planning for tradeshows, conferences, and key networking events.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; advanced degree an asset.

  • 5+ years in Business Development or Sales, with at least 2 years in a people leadership role.

  • Proven experience in managing high-performing business development teams.

  • Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and reporting tools.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills.

  • Data-driven mindset with a passion for process improvement and scalable growth.

  • Industry experience (contract food services or B2B sales) is highly desirable.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is preferred.
