Are YOU our next Team Lead?
We’re looking for a Team Lead – Health Services to join our team in Peterborough, Ontario. As a Team Lead, you will report to the Regional Manager of Health Services and provide leadership to assigned sites. You will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the locations, including staff coaching, workflow management, client services, and occupational health and safety oversight. You will also perform duties of a Laboratory Assistant, including obtaining blood samples and other specimens from patients for diagnostic testing.
Status: Permanent Full Time, Guaranteed 40.5 hours per week
Shift: Day Shifts, 6:45 am – 5:30 pm; Monday – Saturday (alternate weekends)
Locations: 1525 Albion Road, Etobicoke, ON, M9V 5G5
Discipline: Laboratory and Health Services Centers

How YOU will make a difference:
- Manage location(s) daily operations and communicate issues to the Regional Manager, Health Services
- Recommend changes to improve productivity in collaboration with leadership
- Create a positive work environment by listening and soliciting employee feedback
- Provide input on employee development and evaluations
- Use wait time measurements and technology to reduce patient wait times and bottlenecks
- Provide customer and patient-centric care, demonstrating Dynacare’s core values
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to all clients
- Report workplace accidents, injuries, hazards, and support investigations
- Ensure location is audit and inspection ready
- Coach team members on quality errors to meet operational targets
- Participate in training and skill development of staff
- Perform Lab Assistant duties as required
- Support neighboring sites when needed
What YOU bring to the role:
- Knowledge of MOH guidelines
- Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician Diploma
- Experience in laboratory practices and specimen collection techniques
- Fluent in English and/or French
- 3-5 years of laboratory experience
Technical and Social Skills:
- Proficiency with GD software including Omnitech, Open KM, Outlook
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Lean Six Sigma/Change management training (preferred)
- Leadership, positive attitude, respectful communication
- Ability to recommend productivity improvements
- Health and safety awareness and reporting
- Strong leadership skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Open communication fostering
