SPMA 4P96 - Negotiation of Deals and Disputes in Sport Organizations
Compensation
Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to qualifications held.
• Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate – $22.07 per hour (Rate effective September 1, 2024).
• Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate – $34.73 per hour (Rate effective September 1, 2024).
• Additional duties as part of a Teaching Assistant’s role are compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.
Duties
The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required).
