Job description

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Cleaner position in our Support Services department.

Location: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital

Duration: Temporary contract until June 2026, or sooner, as determined by RRHS.

Position Summary

Perform necessary cleaning duties as required with the objective of maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep assigned areas clean by scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, stripping, sealing, buffing and finishing.
• Use housekeeping equipment as required and described in the departmental procedures.
• Prepare cleaning solutions as required by procedures and manufacturer's instructions.
• Remove waste from designated areas.
• Inclement weather and exterior duties manifiestoIntroducing criticisms as assigned.
• Ensures patient safety and infection prevention and control relating to the position.

Qualifications Required

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
• Physically able to perform the requirements of the job.
• Able to perform cleaning duties as required, in a clean, sanitary and orderly manner.
• Computer knowledge and proficiency preferred.

Other Pertinent Conditions

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($28.86 per hour to $29.55 per hour).
