Role Overview

Answering to the Manager, IT Operations, the Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation and configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The Systems Administrator participates in day-to-day operations, technical research, project development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
  • Handling technical issues, following up, and providing timely updates
  • Technical design and deployment of internal and external systems
  • Understanding security risks and security technologies
  • Documenting internal procedures and knowledgebase articles for end-users
  • Update, audit, and configure systems and software, and document system configurations
  • System monitoring/configuration, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
  • Reviewing system and application logs, and verifying scheduled jobs
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and products
  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain effective relationships to support infrastructure needs
  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Providing support outside normal hours of work
  • Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3 + years’ technical experience including administration and support of technical infrastructure
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Platform, Apple OS X, Apple iOS, and Android
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365, Azure, Group Policy and Directory Services/LDAP
  • Considerable knowledge in virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware)
  • Knowledge in Linux/Unix technologies
  • Knowledge of security and firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of storage technologies
  • Knowledge of networking technologies (i.e. Routing, Switching, Firewalls)
  • Knowledge of Saas app management & provisioning (SSO, SCIM)
  • Flexibility in scheduling with a willingness to work extra non‑standard hours as required
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in setting clear priorities, defining objectives, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
  • May be required to Travel
