Job description
About DataStealth

DataStealth is a single, unified data security platform (DSP) that discovers, classifies, and protects sensitive data across your entire environment, from on‑premise to legacy cloud to cloud; wherever your data lives or flows, we protect it. We do this without requiring complex integrations or changes to your existing applications, ensuring security that enables, rather than hinders, your business. By seamlessly applying data protection strategies, such as tokenization, we ensure that even if your perimeter is breached, your data remains unusable if it falls into the wrong hands.

About You

You’re a proactive, detail‑oriented problem solver who enjoys hands‑on work and challenges the status quo. You have a natural curiosity that drives you to explore and learn new technologies, apply them to solve complex integration problems, and document your process for future learning. While you may not know everything right now, you have the intelligence and drive to quickly pick things up and apply them effectively.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team and play a key role in deploying and integrating DataStealth solutions within customer environments. In this role, you will work directly with clients and project teams to implement advanced security features such as tokenization, encryption, and monitoring, while ensuring seamless system connectivity and performance. You’ll troubleshoot complex networking and integration challenges, contribute fresh ideas, and document processes to support continuous improvement. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail‑oriented professional with a strong foundation in Linux, networking, and system integration, and who thrives in fast‑paced, customer‑facing environments.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and configure DataStealth solutions in customer environments;
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate and deploy DataStealth solutions (tokenization, encryption, tamper protection, masking, monitoring) effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and solve connectivity, firewall, remote access, and VPN issues with confidence.
  • Stay curious, learn new tech, bring fresh ideas to the table, and document the journey to improve future implementations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in roles such as Solutions/Integration Engineer, Security Engineer, or Network Engineer, ideally in customer‑facing environments.
  • Strong background in Linux administration and system integration.
  • Familiar with integration protocols like HTTPS, SMTPs, and REST APIs, and comfortable with system connectivity.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting and resolving issues with SSH, firewall configurations, remote access, and endpoint connectivity.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and after hours for critical customer deployments and urgent troubleshooting, including being on‑call for escalation alerts.
Preferred Expertise
  • Experience with cybersecurity practices like tokenization, encryption, tamper protection, and monitoring.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Linux+ are a bonus but not required.
  • Experience with database systems (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres and Oracle) is an asset but not required.
  • Experience with web proxy servers such as NGINX, HAProxy or similar reverse proxy is a strong asset.
