Position Overview

Compensation: $21.53 - 24.98/hour + $1.00 shift premium (12am-8am) + EFAP + Group Benefits + RRSP

Status: Permanent, various shifts available (casual, part-time, full-time)

Start Date: Ongoing recruitment

Responsibilities
  1. Provide social and wellness support to a diverse adult population with complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues, neurodevelopmental disabilities, criminal justice involvement, and challenging behaviors.
  2. Assist clients in enhancing their quality of life through activities of daily living and developing life skills, facilitating community reintegration.
  3. Complete duties in accordance with organizational policies, mission, ethics, values, and constitution.
  4. Recognize, analyze, and manage potential emergencies to ensure safety.
  5. Assist with case management and work collaboratively with clients to set service delivery goals.
  6. Oversee Overdose Prevention Services, intervene, and administer Naloxone during overdoses.
  7. Transport and assist clients with appointments, shopping, or outreach activities.
  8. Document activities as per program policy (e.g., CAMS).
  9. Monitor building access to authorized individuals.
  10. Assist with activities of daily living, including appointments, budgeting, shopping, and meal planning.
  11. Collect rent as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
Qualifications
  • Certificate, degree, or diploma in a related human/social service field.
  • At least one year of recent, relevant experience.
  • Physical ability to perform the role's duties.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Proof of COVID-19 immunization required.
  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to a vehicle (for some positions).
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.
