Job summary

A leading support organization in Toronto is seeking a Support Worker 1 ONA to contribute to program delivery and support individuals with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a high-school diploma, some relevant experience, and be able to provide personal and emotional care to enhance community living. This role involves collaboration with family members and personal care responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of related work experience is required.
  • Successful completion of internal legislated mandated training is required.
  • Valid driver’s licence is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out regularly assigned duties related to the provision of services.
  • Support assessment of needs and implementation of life plans.
  • Provide personal and physical care including medication administration.
  • Liaise with friends and family as required.
  • Support life-skills training and provide emotional support.
