Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist in the Oil and Gas Industry in Corunna, Ontario.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to work directly with the client’s Supply Chain (SC) organization, with specific accountability to execute competitive bidding and contracting support for service and material categories supporting the client’s Project and Engineering business.

Responsibilities :

  1. Conduct tenders, evaluate bids, drive negotiations with suppliers, and provide purchase recommendations in line with SC and contracting frameworks, collaborating with business stakeholders.
  2. Apply client’s SC practices while focusing on contributions to business drivers, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, social performance, ethics, Code of Conduct, laws, and regulations.
  3. Prepare, generate, and issue purchase orders, managing the buying process with specified negotiated cost, quality, and delivery targets with approved suppliers.
  4. Work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with suppliers regarding new projects, supplies, and initiatives; advise on the impact of changes on purchasing and production activities.
  5. Understand changes in the business, external environment, and business drivers that may affect supply and demand; advise stakeholders on potential impacts.

Requirements :

  1. Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field.
  2. SCMP or other relevant professional designation is an asset.
  3. Strong background in procurement and bid management in the energy or relevant industries.
  4. Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and MS Office tools.
  5. Proven negotiation skills and the ability to deliver goals and outcomes.
  6. Ability to lead, coach, and ensure process and procedure compliance related to project bidding and contracting.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
