Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 8 Days 6 Off Perth FIFO

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Site Services Supervisor to lead a team responsible for critical utilities and support services across our mining operations. This key role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of water management, fuel supply, and related maintenance activities to support uninterrupted mine operation. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, manage staff, develop weekly plans, and report to the Superintendent. The position demands strong leadership in a remote mining environment, with a focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the safe operation of the on‑site water treatment plant, ensuring treated water meets quality standards for process and environmental discharge
  • Oversee fuel delivery, storage, and distribution across the mine site, including management of fuel trucks, inventory, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations
  • Manage general site maintenance activities, including equipment, infrastructure, and facilities related to utilities
  • Direct potable water systems operations, ensuring reliable supply of drinking water to site facilities in compliance with health and regulatory standards
  • Supervise vacuum truck (vac truck) operations, including waste removal, septic services, and spill response as required
  • Develop and implement weekly operational plans, allocating resources, scheduling tasks, and prioritizing activities to meet site demands
  • Lead a team of operators, drivers, and technicians: including recruitment, training, performance management, rostering, and fostering a positive safety culture
  • Daily reports to the Superintendent, covering operational status, incidents, compliance, and key metrics
  • Ensure all activities comply with mine safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies (e.g., risk assessments, permits, audits)
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, maintenance, environment) to minimize disruptions and support overall site objectives
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost, and safety
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in Supervisor role, or similar leadership position
  • Demonstrated track record of problem‑solving and solution implementation in a multi‑discipline team‑based environment
  • Experienced in people management
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with competency in SAP and Fortescue safety processes knowledge
  • Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large scale processing plant
