A mining company is seeking a Supervisor for Exploration activities based in Kivalliq Region, Canada. The role involves managing an exploration team, overseeing drilling programs, ensuring QA/QC compliance, and contributing to geological interpretation. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, have 10 years of experience in exploration, and possess strong skills in software like Datamine and AutoCAD. This is a fly-in/fly-out position with provided accommodations and meals.
Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will play an important role in managing the Exploration team and its activities; performing good geological practices in terms of drill hole planning and follow‑up, geological interpretation and some 3D modelling, exploration/resources conversion target generation, assisting in the ounce projection exercises, core logging/sampling follow‑up, ensuring the compliance with QA/QC and preparing reports. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest.
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
