Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges between $76,000 - $80,000, with eligibility for an incentive target of 5% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided. Job Responsibilities (You Will)
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation and leadership of the team
  • Oversee outbound operations and support inbound operations
  • Lead the team members to ensure team performance meets or exceeds commitment of our service promise to customers, and expectations of productivity, quality and safety
  • Actively support company Values and Operating Principles by encouraging team to suggest new ideas, being accountable for actions, working as a team, and being customer-focused.
  • Lead team members with a hands‑on, people‑focused approach in their development, coaching, communication, improvement, and team building while holding them accountable
  • Plan, manage, and adjust the daily workload and resourcing to meet key performance metrics
  • Foster a safe work environment of empowerment, accountability, respect, consideration, open honest interaction, full participation in team meetings and activities with a winning attitude
  • Lead the team in developing a continuous improvement mindset and process, while recognizing opportunities for change and implementing successfully
  • Ensure team members have the necessary tools to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely inspected and cared for
  • Responsible for full inventory security during their shift
  • Maintain knowledge of WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, WSIB, and all related governing legislation
  • Ensure compliance of workforce with provincial regulations, codes and approved Grainger operating practices
Education/Experience (You Have)
  • 3-5 years previous supervisory experience, preferably within a warehousing environment, with a focus on servicing internal branch facilities and external customers
  • Experience with industrial machines, like order picker, forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Proven track record of positive coaching, team building, training, and development of direct reports, coupled with a ‘hands‑on’ leadership style
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and relationship building, while having a sense of urgency, and being enthusiastic, assertive, and highly organized
  • Proven ability to influence, motivate, and communicate effectively with team members
  • Capable of recognizing opportunities for change, development of process and implementation
  • Strong personal attributes such as self‑motivation, analytical, capable of working independently
  • Experience in a high volume, fast‑paced warehouse operations and warehouse operating systems
  • Completion of a post‑secondary diploma, preferably in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience
