A leading natural resources company in Ontario is seeking a Summer Student for mobile maintenance. Job description
Position Overview

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful Summer Student will be responsible for:

  • Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and repairs of mobile maintenance equipment
  • Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability
  • Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment
  • Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems

This is a Summer Student opportunity. Position will start in May and run through to August.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have a minimum of Level 2 Mechanic Apprentice
  • Be a team player
  • A motivated and dynamic approach to getting tasks complete and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
  • Strong ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering and management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement
