Job description
Overview

Are you looking for the best summer job? One where you’ll make an impact, stay busy and have a blast doing it? Keep reading!

Want to spend your days meeting people, going to events, hyping up the city, and being part of the radio magic behind Saint John’s favourite stations?

Then hop in — 97.3 The Wave and Country 94 are looking for our next Summer Cruiser Representative for 2026!

Acadia Broadcasting is growing fast, with stations across Atlantic Canada and Northwestern Ontario. Around here, we’re all about local vibes, great music, and being the heartbeat of the community — especially in summer.

This is a part‑time summer role, typically scheduled for 24 hours per week, with most shifts happening Friday through Sunday, which includes evening flexibility for festivals, promos, and community events that run past 5 p.m.

Your schedule will be built around the biggest events in the city — because that’s where the fun (and the listeners!) are.

This is the gig if you’re energetic, love talking to people, and want a job that keeps you on the move.

What You’ll DO (AKA Your Daily Adventures):
  • Roll up to events, set up our station gear, hand out awesome swag, and chat with listeners of all ages
  • Be THAT person — the friendly, outgoing station ambassador who brings the fun wherever you go
  • Build great relationships with teammates, partners, and everyone you meet along the way
  • Represent the station at major events, client promotions, festivals, charity events — if it’s happening in Saint John, you might be there!
  • Show off your personality on-air and on our social media
  • Keep our cruiser, equipment, and promo gear looking sharp and ready to roll
  • Share your ideas and event experiences with the Regional Promotions Manager
You’re Perfect for This if You:
  • Are 18+
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Are responsible and can work independently (even when things get busy!)
  • Are available evenings and weekends — because that’s when the fun happens
  • Are a social media pro who’s comfortable taking photos, videos, and being on camera
  • Have high energy, love talking to people, and can start a conversation with literally anyone
  • Are quick-thinking, adaptable, and great at problem solving

At Acadia Broadcasting, we strive to be the best radio station — and a place people love to work — in every market we serve. We believe in local programming, strong community connection, and celebrating the people who make our stations sound great.

And honestly? Most Cruiser Reps say this ends up being their favourite summer job ever.

We want to hear from YOU!
