Overview

It is acknowledged that Central Okanagan Public Schools operates within the unceded, Traditional Territory of the Okanagan syilx peoples. In this role, you will create fun, educational activities for children and parents, promote the Centre within the community, and manage daily operations. The Strong Start Facilitator Will

• work effectively with a variety of parents, children, professionals and community mentors;
• maintain accurate records;
• be flexible with work hours;
• create, plan, implement and budget for parent participation early learning program;
• be required to deal with challenging behaviour issues;
• attend all early learning professional development activities;
• have strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;
• possess knowledge and experience with computers and the internet;

Applicants Must

• have completed Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation);
• possess a valid certificate, preferably a diploma, in Early Childhood Education;
• possess a Class 5 Driver's Licence;
• possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate;
• possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Safe Certification;
