A leading charity in health care is seeking a Stroke Nurse to support individuals as they transition from hospital to home. This full-time position in Elgin will require strong communication and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will be registered nurses with at least three years of experience, preferably with a background in stroke care. The role focuses on helping families understand the recovery process and providing emotional support during challenging times. Flexibility in working conditions is offered.
Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland is recruiting a Stroke Nurse to support people across Grampian as they move from hospital back into their own homes and communities.
This is a full time post based in Elgin, working with families at one of the most vulnerable points in their lives.
Your work will shape their recovery and help them rebuild confidence after a stroke.
You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity for chest, heart and stroke care, joining a nationwide network of nurses, support groups, volunteers and one to one services that help people live fully again after life changing illness.
Your role will focus on easing the transition from hospital to home by giving people clear information, practical advice and emotional support.
You will help families understand what has changed, what comes next and how to move forward safely.
We are looking for someone who is warm, organised and resilient, with strong communication skills and the ability to support people at a challenging time.
You must be a registered nurse with a minimum of three years’ post registration experience in a hospital or community setting.
Experience working with people affected by stroke is desirable and will be valued.
