Job summary

An educational institution in Ontario seeks a Manager of Academic Programs to provide strategic leadership for nursing programs. The ideal candidate has a Master of Nursing degree, an RN designation, and at least five years of progressive leadership experience. Responsibilities include overseeing program delivery, managing staff, and supporting student needs. The position is located at both Newnham and King campuses and requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as expertise in educational technologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master of Nursing degree required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) designation with no restrictions from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
  • Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in post-secondary management.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience in a related discipline required.
  • Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership and management to all programs in the School of Nursing.
  • Manage staff and faculty to ensure program delivery and alignment with educational goals.
  • Support student services and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance academic experiences.
  • Manage resources effectively for program operations and growth.
