Job Description
Accurate is on the hunt for a Strategic Business Advisor to join our team in our Edmonton office. The person we envision for this role has strong technical abilities and a strong interest—passion, even—for hardware and organization, recognizing its importance in the MSP space, serving a multitude of customers on a day‑to‑day basis.
You will work closely with the multiple teams to ensure Accurate is a technically well‑oiled machine by responding to internal IT tickets, preparing and deploying hardware and software, and assisting in logistical tasks for both Accurate and Accurate’s clients.
Core Accountabilities
- Technology & Business Alignment: Develop and maintain long‑term IT Strategic Plans tailored to each client's business objectives, working closely with internal teams to ensure feasible execution.
- Executive‑Level Relationship Management: Act as the trusted advisor to executive stakeholders at each client, attending ABRs/QBRs, and ensuring Accurate's value is visible and strategic.
- IT Governance & Risk Management: Identify technology risks, gaps in compliance, and improvement opportunities; guide clients toward Accurate's standards and security best practices.
- Client Standardization & Stack Adoption: Promote and lead the adoption of Accurate's standard tools, systems, and processes across all assigned accounts.
- Pre‑Sales & Assessment Leadership: Support business assessments and onboarding of new clients by developing initial roadmaps and critical risk reports.
- Internal Collaboration & Escalation Support: Work cross‑functionally to resolve issues, provide context on escalations, and influence internal initiatives that impact client success.
The Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an MSP or IT services environment in a client‑facing, consultative, project or account management role.
- Proven ability to develop IT strategic plans or technology roadmaps aligned to business goals, including budgeting and lifecycle planning.
- Strong executive‑level communication skills with the ability to build trust, lead QBRs/ABRs, and influence non‑technical leaders.
- Working knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ITIL).
- Deep knowledge of modern MSP technology stacks including M365, security tools, cloud services, EDR/MDR, and standardization practices.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate technology risks, gaps, and opportunities, and turn them into actionable plans or project initiatives.
- Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with service desk, project delivery, and cybersecurity teams to resolve issues and drive outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret client data, create assessments, and produce clear, executive‑ready reports.
- Comfort supporting pre‑sales, onboarding assessments, and client discovery processes to set new clients up for long‑term success.
- Professional presence and organizational skills to manage a book of strategic clients, maintain up‑to‑date plans, and follow through reliably.
Why Work Here?
- We offer competitive salaries, health and wellness benefits (including a health spending account), a fitness allowance, and flexible hybrid work options—but so do a lot of other companies. What makes Accurate stand out from the herd?
- We value your personal and professional growth—we offer generous professional development allowances, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow upwards in your career.
- You’re not a cog in a giant, immoveable, unthinking machine—be a part of a company where your voice is valued and your ideas can be put into motion.
- Life’s too short to work with people you dislike—we focus on building a diverse crew of good and talented people, and we stay connected through social events worth writing home about.
