About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and organized Stores Person to join our team on a Full Time contract with Aramark at University Hospital Galway. You'll play a key role in managing inventory, handling goods in and out, and maintaining a well-organized store environment.

Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role (preferred)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Full Irish/EU Driving License
  • Must be competent, fast, and reliable, ability to work on their initiative and be part of a wider team.
  • A proactive and positive work ethic and good communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Receive deliveries daily and check the delivery against the order and delivery dockets.
  • Ensure that the highest standards of Food Safety and Hygiene are maintained in the stores and associated areas, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Ensure that vehicles used in service delivery are inspected daily before use, driven safely and with respect for all other road users and pedestrians.
  • Maintain a high hygiene standard in the premises, stores, and self.
  • Facilitate deliveries onsite from the main stores and kitchen to shop and ward pantry kitchens.
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks which support and assist with the service delivery, food preparation, hygiene and any other tasks needed to support service delivery.
  • Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed, use the FIFO rule.
  • Observes infection control and HACCP policies in food handling storage and ensure that all the necessary information is recorded accurately.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if needed.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate or required by your Line Manager or the company.
