Overview

We are seeking a Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our newest Cannabis NB location in the Moncton area. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is accountable for all aspects of the retail experience, including coaching and mentoring the team, inventory management, customer satisfaction, merchandising, and executing on business goals and objectives. The Manager is a role model who exemplifies Customer Experience, drives a culture of continuous improvement, and sets the standards for success.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and coaching through the company vision, mission, and core values
  • Managing budget and store operational costs
  • Driving revenue to meet and exceed corporate sales initiatives
  • Monitoring inventory levels, ordering stock as needed, and completing reports
  • Finding operational efficiencies, addressing and resolving problems as they arise
About You

You bring a strong understanding of store operations and management processes, including profitability, health, safety, marketing, and merchandising. You have a passion for delivering an exceptional in-store experience and ensuring that your team members have the training and skills required to help our customers select the best products for their needs. You are an important contributor to Cannabis NB’s overall success through constant communication, continuous feedback, and recognizing top talent.

Your Coaching Skills

You will provide regular coaching and feedback, including performance support and training opportunities, and are adept at creating development plans to support the team in their growth. You are comfortable having tough conversations and holding people accountable for results. You celebrate success while fostering an environment of open and honest communication, where everyone is empowered to bring suggestions forward, and challenged to do their best.

Your Retail Leadership Skills

You are a key member of the Retail Experience team and help balance risk while considering employee engagement, store performance, and business perspectives. As a mentor to your Team Leads, you are skilled at creating a culture of best practices, and ensuring that processes are efficient, effective, and value-added. In collaboration with your District Manager, you will contribute to new initiatives and special projects to support the retail network across the province.

What you need to be successful
  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration or similar
  • 5+ years in retail management
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Very strong competency with people focused leadership
  • Strong examples of developing and mentoring employees
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Strong visual merchandising skills
Nice to have
  • Strong background in coaching and mentoring geographically-dispersed teams
  • Excellent analytical skills to review sales reports, revenue projections, and forecasts
Language competencies
  • Bilingualism in both official languages is preferred.
Note
  • Salary range $62,000 - $66,000
  • Only candidates with legal authorization to work in Canada will be considered
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends
