We are seeking a security practitioner who is hands-on with a developer-first mentality and passionate about developing and growing others to become effective security practitioners.

About the job

The Staff Security Enablement Analyst will develop, implement, measure, and manage processes to enhance security enablement across Twilio. This role is critical in fostering a security-first culture by engaging, training, and empowering Twilio employees to act as security practitioners to support and elevate Twilio’s security posture.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the Security Champions Program, including establishing OKRs, defining roles, and monitoring its efficacy.
  • Create a framework for identifying, recruiting, and retaining influential Security Champions from various teams.
  • Organize and lead meetings, forums, and events to foster collaboration among Security Champions.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, guidelines, and best practices with a strong technical focus.
  • Curate and deliver live training to meet educational needs across Twilio teams.
  • Act as a liaison between Twilions and security, assisting with the rollout of security tools and processes and surfacing feedback.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development teams to integrate security training into existing platforms.
  • Work with other security teams to expand security offerings across Twilio.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 7+ years in security, cybersecurity, software development, or related technical field.
  • Experience with Security Champions or similar programs.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to anticipate program needs for long-term maturity.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and relationship building.
  • Proven program management, technical training, and employee engagement skills.
  • Experience with secure coding, application security, threat modeling.
  • Understanding of security frameworks like OWASP.
  • Analytical skills to assess performance and identify improvements.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CSSLP, OSCP) are a plus.
Location
  • This role is remote, based in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario.
Travel

Occasional travel may be required to facilitate in-person connections.

Additional Compensation for British Columbia

The estimated pay ranges are CAD 118,200 to CAD 147,700.
