Job description
About Remote

Remote is solving modern organizations’ biggest challenge – navigating global employment compliantly with ease. We make it possible for businesses of all sizes to recruit, pay, and manage international teams. With our core values at heart and future‑focused work culture, our team works tirelessly on ambitious problems asynchronously around the world. Remoters work from 6 different continents (Antarctica left to go!) and all of our positions are fully remote.

What This Job Can Offer You

Set the technical strategy for partner integrations and lead multi‑quarter, cross‑functional programs that scale Remote’s ecosystem. Own complex, ambiguous initiatives end to end, define repeatable architectures and standards, and create leverage through SDKs, tooling, and documentation. Influence across Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure APIs and partner experiences are robust, scalable, and enterprise‑grade.

What You Bring
  • Deep understanding of API architectures, including the ability to evaluate and design integrations using REST and SOAP based on business and technical requirements.
  • Strong expertise in real‑time communication patterns, with the ability to determine when to use Webhooks versus WebSockets for scalable partner integrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern authentication and authorization frameworks, including OAuth 2.0 grant types (Authorization Code, PKCE, Client Credentials, etc.) and best practices for secure API access.
  • Proven ability to lead high‑impact partner programs end‑to‑end, de‑risking delivery through design reviews, proofs of concept, and measurable success criteria.
  • Strong governance instincts around versioning, change management, and translating regulatory or compliance requirements into clear technical guidance.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality reference architectures, technical guides, and training materials while mentoring others and raising documentation quality across the team.
  • Skill in turning partner insights into clear, sequenced product requirements and driving cross‑team initiatives to close platform gaps.
  • Writes and speaks fluent English.
  • Experience working remotely is not required but considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deeply embed with our most strategic platform customers, serving as their technical thought partner in ideating and building novel applications on our API.
  • Analyze business objectives, needs and requirements (through prospect, customer, partner and Remote lens) and provide technical guidance, and leadership throughout the bespoke integration development process.
  • Proactively provide guidance to our customers on how to maximize business impact from their applications, accelerating their time to value.
  • Experiment and prototype solutions with and for your customers.
  • Forge and manage relationships with our customers’ leadership and stakeholders to ensure their application’s successful deployment and scale.
  • Scale the Solutions Consulting function through sharing knowledge, codifying best practices, and publishing knowledge to our internal and external repositories.
  • Validate, synthesize, and deliver high‑signal feedback to the Product and Engineering teams.
  • Faster time to first‑value and shorter integration cycles for strategic partners.
  • Broad adoption of shared standards, SDKs, and references across internal teams and partners.
  • Clear decision records and design artifacts that improve alignment and reuse.
  • Demonstrated organizational uplift through mentorship and high‑quality enablement assets.
